Got exactly the same problem. Completely stuck now without internet!

The only multiport igb NIC guaranteed to work there is the one we sell which was extensively tested. We have seen several reports like that specifically for multiport cards. The card and port status are detected correctly but no data can be passed. Be sure you are running the latest Coreboot version. Stee

I contacted Netgate support and got the install image, reinstalled the firmware and for now everything looks fine. Thank you very much for your help and advice on using the program and equipment.

Mmm, that does seem non-standard. I would be reluctant to connect that to anything but the expected equipment TBH.

@gertjan The backup file didn't work (I had a couple).. I now have a fresh one in two locations (NAS and PC). A new UPS (to be purchased) and standby generator (due here on May 11th) are on my list of things to do.. I guess I will always request a new OS image when they issue one. I didn't have a copy of the latest version (only the config).

@wc2l It is from the General system logs. At the same time I got notified my server could not ping outside my network.

@netblues I eventually got it up and running. I’m not sure how or why! The LAN IP was not my actual IP address.. I’m using a non routable IP address. The WAN is setup for DHCP. The info was taken from the console screen. So it was nothing that I have set. I just went through the web setup routine for that part I could ping the router, but couldn’t get to the web interface. Once it finally woke up or started working, I could get to the interface.

@alric22 a reset to factory defaults by logging in through the console seemed to do the trick.

There are no plans for that in the short term I'm aware of. The switch support would require a number of additions. Steve

@wblanton Not that it helps, but I mistakenly write LX - I meant SX. My BiDi module reports itself as a 1000Base-SX module.
