Hi, I can confirm this behaviour after doing a configuration restore on a fresh installed 2.2.6 system. DHCP works fine, is churning out DHCP leases, logs correctly to the system log but dhcp leases page is not updated accordingly.

RESOLVED: Thank you for the heads up on the hash verification of the file. I downloaded it again, and redid the install. It finally worked! One point at last from me to this on top, HP has mostly his own and custom version of ESXi to work with their Servers well, perhaps you should have a look to this.

Your photo seems to indicate a SCSI drive failure, or possibly an issue with the SCSI controller. For my own part, I've avoided using Dell hardware with PFS as I had some nasty issues with Dells after upgrades. My personal feeling would be to use fresh hardware, but someone came up with a 'workaround' of sorts here: https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=31907.0

@Ruddimaster: Is there a chance to work around this issue? Remove limiters, or disable pfsync.

Glad you got yourself up and running. Before you get too far down your current path, you might want consider just bypassing the whole "bridging NICS to simulate an internal switch" approach and just get a small switch. They're cheap (<$30) and will definitely perform better than multiple NICs. Save yourself grief in the future, plus you can keep those extra internal NIC's for the scenario(s) you may find later (want a "guest" only WiFI?, need to add some isolated machines? etc.) Just my $.02, but you'll find this general opinion echoed  alllllll over the forums  8)

That' doesn't keep you away from content which is inappropriate… in a church! It does if you use custom DNS that filters out bad stuff, like OpenDNS or Norton ConnectSafe.  Nothing is perfect, though.  If people are determined to use a church's network to find porn, they will eventually find porn.

Dont put a gateway address on your LAN. Can you post whats in your PPP logs here?  You might have to try and reconnect that way to get those.

I ended up spinning up a VM to see if i could get it to run on there and it booted fine, not really sure why it wouldnt run on my main system. Hopefully it will run right away when the rest of the hardware comes that i plan to run it on. Thanks for the help!

With this setup you're double-NATing out which isn't ideal. Why not just use your second PC to build a proper standalone proxy? There are plenty of decent proxies which don't require you to have to run two firewalls in sequence.

@Wolf666: Again, please post screenshots of your config. Use your cell phone and take a picture since, I'm assuming, you aren't able to screenshot this with it being your router and not the webConfigurator you're working with.  You might could go to "1) Assign Interfaces" and NOT assign the WAN and just setup the LAN with a static IP of 192.168.1.1/24 so that you can login to the webConfigurator on the Laptop.  You'll need to manually assign your Laptop as well, though.

That's a driver issue that we just imported a fix for into 2.3 today. Needs more testing still, but seems to be fixed now.

Hello BlueKobold, I just solved my problem and I finally install pfSense, thank you for your interest. Like many others but since the USB installation will work flawless smooth and liquid there is often no really need to use a CD/DVD device anymore. So you could get a USB pen drive and then push there on the amd64 version of pfSense there are pre-defined USB pen drive images to do so and then install from there. I agree with you with respect to the USB ports but i disable by recommendations in the Boot Troubleshooting (hardware conflict). It could be that there are some quirks with the BIOS or some BIOS settings with this device. How many RAM and what CPU is in that device? How many and what kind of LAN Ports (NICs) are inside of this server? My server has 5 GB of RAM and an Intel Xeon CPU 3.20GHz processor by default brings only 1 network port but bought a Hp Nc360t Dual Port Pci-e X4 Gigabit Server Adapter 412651-0 (with 2 networks ports) to have a total of 3 network ports. Here are the settings that work for me: USB ports disabled. Serial port disabled. Parallel port disabled. Integrated lights-out disabled. (Also called port ILO). Floppy disabled. Integrated SCSI ports disable (u320 HBA Port1 and u320 HBA Port2). I use the latest version of pfsense 2.2.6 64-bit architecture. NOTE: The integrated SCSI ports they are not using because it had all the hard drives are connected to the PCI RAID controller. I hope will be helpful to many here in the community. ;)

Backup the config.xml file and a full system backup will be not the same as I see it right. Do a system backup and a config backup and then do a fresh and full install of the pfSense using the same version as you are using now! Then restore the backup and config. backup to the new installation.

It's a compatible machine in theory. What you see on occasion is hardware quirks that other OSes might not trigger, or might have workarounds for, where other OSes may not. You can run all the time from a USB flash drive, just choose the nanobsd version, and write that out to the USB flash drive. Boot and run from that.

What version of pfSense?  FreeBSD did not start to get ability to UEFI boot until the 10.x series, and depending on what your configuration is, may need a bit of hand effort. Version of pfSense, hardware, boot disk would be useful information for people to help you
